Aquiline Nose Surgery
An aquiline nose, also known as a hook nose, refers to a nose with a curved nose bridge. People with this type of nose can appear obstinate and unfriendly. As a way to improve its appearance, the cartilage and bone are revised to create a smooth line along the nose bridge through aquiline nose surgery. Patients who have undergone this procedure have generally reported a high rate of satisfaction.

Aquiline Nose Surgery Procedure

When the hump is not severe
An incision is made inside the nose to remove the hump on the nose and cartilage using surgical tools to create a smooth nose bridge.

When the hump is severe
A lateral osteotomy is performed on the hump and the cartilages in the nose tip are gathered together and raised. To prevent the nose tip from drooping down later on, autologous tissue is used to create a support.
There are various types of an aquiline nose: the entire nose is curved, or there is a hump solely on the bone, etc.
So it is essential that the patient consults the plastic surgeon in detail before proceeding with the procedure.
