Allergan, a pharmaceutical company based in the United States, was the first to develop a product using Botulinum toxin as the active ingredient under the name, Botox. Over time, Botox became a generic name representing the antiaging procedure. Since then, various products containing Botulinum toxin have been released and proven their safety and effectiveness. However, it should be noted that authentic products in the prescribed amounts must be used to guarantee satisfying results. At iWELL, we use Allergan’s Botox and Pacific Pharmaceutical’s Meditoxin. Generally, we use Allergan’s Botox, but the patient has the option to choose either one.
