Corrective Facial Contouring Surgery Cases

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones / Corrective Surgery for Square Jaw / Chin Surgery

The above patient had received zygoma reduction and square jaw surgery at another hospital and came to iWELL to receive corrective surgery to improve the depression caused by the formation of a secondary angle and to obtain better results from zygoma reduction. 3D zygoma reduction surgery was performed for an L-shaped resection at a higher location, and the cheekbones below the eyes were sculpted for a greater reduction effect on the sides of the face. Long curved square jaw surgery was also performed for a smoother jawline . Chin surgery (elongation) was carried out at the same time to address the appearance of a short and stubby chin and create a more natural-looking V line.

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones / Corrective Surgery for Square Jaw

The above patient had received zygoma reduction surgery under general anesthesia at another hospital, but it was ineffective as the cheekbones were simply shaved down. Because osteotomy had not been performed on the rear part of the right side of the jaw during the square jaw surgery, the middle part of the lower jaw began to protrude out. At iWELL, 3D zygoma reduction surgery was carried out to perform an L-shaped osteotomy on the orbital bone, and the cheekbones below the eyes were sculpted as a way to maximize the reduction effect. Long curved square jaw surgery was carried out to resect the protruding bone, and at the same time, the jawline was made smoother all the way to the chin to look natural from any angle

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones / Corrective Surgery for Chin / Removal of Pins for Inter-Maxillary Fixation

The above patient had received bimaxillary surgery, zygoma reduction surgery, and chin surgery but decided to undergo corrective surgery as she saw only marginal effectiveness due to almost no zygoma reduction and the chin was too short for her face shape. At iWELL, 3D zygoma reduction surgery was carried out with the osteotomy performed as close to the orbital bone as possible in order to maximize the zygoma reduction effect. As for the short chin, a T-shaped osteotomy was performed before the chin was moved forward in order to create a slimmer and natural-looking jawline. In addition, the pins for inter-maxillary fixation were removed to minimize the traces of surgery.

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones / Corrective Surgery for Square Jaw / Chin Surgery

The above patient had received zygoma reduction and square jaw surgery at another hospital but saw minimal effectiveness in zygoma reduction and an asymmetric and bumpy jawline resulting from the square jaw surgery. At iWELL, 3D zygoma reduction surgery was carried out with the osteotomy performed as close to the orbital bone as possible and a double fixation method was implemented for secure fixation as a way to maximize the zygoma reduction effect. Also, long curved square jaw surgery was performed to address the asymmetry and to make the jawline smoother. As for the short and stubby chin, chin surgery (T-shaped osteotomy) was performed so that the face appears slimmer not only from the side but also from the front.

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones

The above patient had received non-fixation zygoma reduction surgery at another hospital and suffered an adverse effect in that the bones began to gape instead of joining each other again. At iWELL, a 3D-CT scan was carried out to accurately determine the state of the bones, after which an incision was made inside the mouth to bring the jawbones together and 3D zygoma reduction surgery involving the double fixation method was performed so that the jawbones could join each other again naturally.

Corrective Surgery for Cheekbones

The above patient had received zygoma reduction surgery at another hospital but failed to see any noticeable results and instead ended up having asymmetric cheekbones. At iWELL, a 3D-CT scan was performed to accurately determine the state of the bones and 3D zygoma reduction surgery was carried out. The zygoma reduction effect was enhanced, with the right cheekbone moving inward after surgery, and it also helped restore symmetry between the left and right cheekbones.
